Frequently Asked Questions

Is SyncThemAll free?

Yes. The Free edition needs no key and no registration, and it never expires. It includes every supported storage service and unlimited manual transfers, with 2 cloud accounts and 1 automated routine. Paid editions remove those limits.

Is it a subscription?

No. SyncThemAll is a perpetual license — you own the version you buy, forever. A paid license includes one year of updates; after that, renewal is optional and only extends updates. If you don't renew, the app keeps working at its last version. See Licenses.

Which cloud services can I connect?

Popular storage services: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive (browser sign-in) and SFTP, SMB / network shares, WebDAV (Nextcloud, ownCloud, SharePoint), FTP/FTPS, HTTP, and S3-compatible storage (Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, DigitalOcean Spaces, Storj, MinIO). More on the way. See Accounts.

Where do my files go? Is my data safe?

Your files move directly between your storages — local disk and the clouds you connect. They are never routed to or stored on our servers. Credentials for your accounts are stored locally on your device, encrypted. SyncThemAll only contacts us to validate your license.

Why does the sign-in screen say "rclone"?

When you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, the provider's consent screen may say "rclone" rather than SyncThemAll — this is expected. SyncThemAll is built on the rclone engine and connects through it, so the provider shows rclone's name. Your access token stays on your device, and you can revoke it anytime. See About rclone & sign-in.

I already use rclone — will SyncThemAll interfere with it?

No. SyncThemAll bundles its own rclone engine and keeps its configuration fully separate — it never reads, changes, or overwrites your existing rclone.conf or the remotes your other tools rely on. If you want to reuse your setup, you can import your existing config — the original file stays untouched.

What can I do with the free version?

Everything at the core: browse and transfer files across your computer and clouds, unlimited manual copies and moves, and one automated routine. The only limits are 2 cloud accounts and 1 triggered routine — your local disk is always free and unlimited.

Can I use it for work?

The Free edition may be used commercially within its functional limits. For unrestricted commercial or organizational use — including running SyncThemAll unattended as a background service — use the Business edition. The Personal edition is for personal use.

Does it run on Mac and Linux?

Yes — SyncThemAll is a native desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, in 12 languages.

Do I need to know rclone or the command line?

No. SyncThemAll is a full graphical app — no command line, no config files to edit. If you already use rclone, you can import your existing config to bring your remotes over.

Can I move files directly between two clouds?

Yes — that's a core feature. Put one cloud in each Explorer pane and copy or move between them directly, without downloading to your computer first.

Windows warned me about the installer — is it safe?

Yes. The warning comes from Windows SmartScreen, which flags recently released builds that haven't yet built up download reputation on Microsoft's servers — standard for new software. Every SyncThemAll installer is digitally signed, and you can scan any download on VirusTotal for extra peace of mind. To proceed, click More info, then Run anyway. As downloads accumulate, the warning goes away on its own.
