Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a Personal and Business license?
The Business License is for a company or organization — the most complete version with no functional limits, including every plugin (Database, CSV, WebSockets, Console App), the REST API server and full Network support with remote connections. The Personal License is for personal use on a single computer and covers standard automation, without those advanced integrations or remote connections.
Can I upgrade from Personal to Business later?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time by paying only the price difference ($100). Your existing tasks and settings remain intact after the upgrade.
What exactly does “local connections only” mean in the Personal License?
The Network client/server and REST API features work only within your local machine (localhost / 127.0.0.1). You won’t be able to control RoboTask remotely from another computer on your network — remote connections require a Business license.
